Secret about damage mechanism that you miss!!

        Hei hei!! back again to my blog, but first, I'm apologize for the late post, it's quiet busy last week for me. Some real thing things of course, but now I'm free, so here I am, going to tell you a little secret about Blood of Steel game. So, without any further do, let's check it out! 😆💣

        Like I said in title, you probably missed this information if you don't play any tutorial video that available in any certain hero. So if you check hero gallery, you'll find video icon in the bottom of certain hero, you can click it, there's a tutorial video on it. There are 6 tutorial video, and all of them are very useful, but in this post because we are talking about damage mechanic, so you need to check "Gerald" tutorial first, in the last section, they give you a little information about it.

        Another important thing is, actually you can show detailed information from damage you deals and you get from enemy. But first, you need to be inside battle, no matter if it legion war or siege, or you can go to your guild turf (if you have guild of course, hehe). And click "CTRL" from your keyboard, it will show your pointer. Then, check in the left bottom, there's a box above chat display, just click on it, check the box, and we are done. Like a picture bellow.

        Ok, back to topic, now when you've check the box, it will give you detailed information about damage you receive and damage you deals. And if you pay attention to it, that's something called "speed bonus". Now, what is that? So, speed bonus is extra damage you get depending on 2 thing :

• Your movement speed before doing any attack, example for cavalry hero, the faster your horse run, the higher damage you deal, by a lot. And for infantry hero, by doing "dash attack"
• Direction from your hero before doing attack, like you can move with A-W-S-D from your keyboard, the thing is, if you move in the same direction with your attack, it will give you bonus damage.
• (I'll talk about dash attack and tips about how to adjust your direction in the last post, or just scroll down)

        Here's is example for it

        When you know about this, surely you can make it to your advantage, and win the battle more easily, the highest damage I deals with horse is 3k, it's instant death, lol even Caesar 💥

        I used Gerald while I did this, how can I did that? well, there a trick using cavalry hero, maybe some of you already about this, so you can double click "W" button while riding a horse, in this situation, your horse will move even faster, but remember, horse have stamina, if it run out of stamina, you can't use double W (speed boost) again for short of duration. Horse stamina will recover over time tho, so you don't need to worry about that, even if your horse keep running, it will restore some stamina. But, use it wisely, so you don't waste your speed boost. Ah, and one more thing, I deals headshot damage to him, so I got 3k damage from headshot and speed bonus, you can see my speed bonus reach up to 1.7k% right? yaaa, that's it.

        One more thing about "damage bonus", it can be minus, and this thing happen when you are not moving while you are attacking (standing still) or you get stuck by wall or something just before you are doing an attack, so always make your character move if possible. Especially for lancer weapon, you need to keep your horse moving, or if you get stuck, change your weapon to sword, because it deals more damage than lancer when you are not moving.

        Ok, now I will tell you about "Dash Attack" you can doing this trick with all type of melee weapon, no matter if it sword, spear or anything else. Before that, actually you can do a small dash by clicking ALT button, and remember, it reduce your hero stamina, same as rolling, so you need to pay attention to your stamina before doing it. Dash attack is unique mechanic in the game, and only a few people know. To do that, just hold your attack (hold your mouse button) and click "ALT" from your keyboard, at the same time. Look at the picture bellow, that what is like when you hold your mouse button, and again, no matter where your attack direction you choose, all you need is dash.

    

    Next, I'll talk about "direction from your hero before doing attack". So, like I said if you move in the same direction with your attack, it will give you bonus damage. First, we have 4 attack direction, right? see the picture above if you are not sure. Here is the explanation :

• Side attack (Right and Left arrow), move in the same direction with your attack, it's like if you do right attack, then you need to move left (A button) and vice versa. Because when you do right attack, your weapon will swing from right to left, that's why you need to move left instead.
• Straight attack (Up and Down arrow), because it is straight attack, so no matter if you do Up or Down attack, you only need to move forward (W button). To do that, you need to know your weapon range, and where your enemy stand, measure that, do a bit backward (S button) movement, and when your weapon ready to attack, step forward and hit your enemy. And don't forget to point for enemy's head if you can.
• Jump attack, to be honest this is the hardest one, but high risk high reward, because you can deals headshot damage if you hit your enemy's head. Mostly, I use spear to do it, because it has longer range than sword, so it is easier to hit an enemy with it. To do it, just hold your attack button and click "spacebar" button to jump, then immediately release your attack button and aim for enemy's head.
